Candied Nuts

Another popular thing during Christmas is The Nutcracker.  To be honest its not something that my family and I watch.  But we love to collect Nutcrackers!  We get a new on every year!  I know a lot of people that love this movie and play!  So I wanted to come up with something for this Christmas classic.  And there is one thing that my family love love LOVE at Christmas time!  Candied nuts!  every year we go to the Bass Pro shop to visit Santa.  And every year we get the candied nuts that they sell.  You walk back to the Santa wonderland and all you can smell are those dang nuts!  They smell soooo amazing!  I’m sure some of you know what I’m talking about!  If you don’t I suggest you make these!  Your WHOLE house will smell the Santa Wonderland!  I love it!  They are super easy and quick!  And they are super yummy!

1 lb of mixed nuts (or you can use your favorite kind of nuts)

1 cup sugar

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp salt

1 egg white

1 tbsp water

Preheat oven to 250°.

Mix cinnamon, sugar and salt together and set aside.

Whisk egg white and water together.  Mix until frothy.

Tis mixed nuts in the egg white mixture.

Then toss mixed nuts into sugar mixture until nuts are evenly coated in the sugar mixture.

Spread coated nuts evenly onto baking sheet. (I use a silicone mat on the baking sheet, so they are easier to stir.)

Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.

Merry Christmas!
