Clark’s Candy Cane Eggnog

”And when Santa squeezes his fat white a** down that chimney tonight, he’s gonna find the jolliest bunch of a******* this side of the nuthouse.”

Can anyone guess what movie that’s from?

If you guessed ‘Christmas Vacation’ YOU’RE RIGHT!

This is one of our favorite movies to watch this time of year!  It’s hilarious and we all just laugh and laugh and laugh!

I especially love the scene where Clark freaks out when he receives his ‘bonus’!  So awesome!

I wanted to create something that would pay homage to such a great classic funny movie!  So I found the Marty Moose mugs that Clark and Eddie were sipping out of and I thought how awesome would it be to make my own egg nog and fill these classes?  They came out so cute!  They are super tasty and if you want you can even add a little bit of bourbon or rum.  I wanted to keep mine virgin so the kids could enjoy them too!  But feel free to add a shot of any dark liquor.

So, the next time you watch this classic make this yummy eggnog to go with it!

3 eggs

1 egg yolk

1/4 cup sugar

1 tbsp vanilla

1/4 tsp peppermint extract

2 cups milk

mini candy canes

In large heavy bottom saucepan whisk eggs, egg yolk, sugar, vanilla and peppermint.  (Be sure to keep your heat at medium) Cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.

Pour milk into saucepan and whisk to incorporate into mixture.  Slightly turn up the heat and whisk until mixture is thickened. (be careful at this point, turning up the heat too high will cook the eggs and you will get pieces of scrambled eggs.  It doesn’t take too long to thicken, don’t overcook.  It usually takes about 5 minutes.)

Remove from heat and let cool in the fridge for at least 4 hours.

You can crush some candy canes and rim the glass with kart syrup then coat with crushed candy canes.

“Hallelujah! Holy sh*t! Where’s the Tylenol?”

Merry Christmas and ENJOY!!!!
