Copy Cat Unicorn Frapp

I’m sure you have all seen the new drink that Starbucks unveiled this past week…..the Unicorn Frappuccino….it’s sour and sweet.  But it’s also got that pretty pink and blue and a little purple from the blue and pink mixing.

So I figured, hey I can make something similar to this!  I always like to try new things!  Of course it’s not 100% like the real deal but it’s very similar!  It’s definitely sour and sweet!  I just went to my local candy store and got some sour sugar powder to use.  To get the pink and blue color I just used neon food coloring.

The hardest part of this drink is trying to get the colors not to mix so quickly once you pour it but I guess that’s more of a problem for me since I needed to get some pictures of it! lol.  But this is a fun drink!  It’s super tasty!  Feel free to add more powder to make it as sour as you want!  But 5 tbsp was pretty good for me!  But it also depends on how sour the powder is that you are adding to it.

I hope you all enjoy this magical drink!

1 13.7 oz Vanilla Starbucks Frappuccino (the one that is sold in grocery stores)

1/2 cup cream

2 cups of ice

5 tbsp of sour pink powder (I just went to my local candy store)

5 tbsp of sour blue powder

3-4 drops of neon pink for coloring

3-4 drops of neon blue food coloring

Whipped cream for the topping

Blend the frappuccino, cream and ice in a blender until the mixture has thickened a bit and the ice is broken up.

Divide mixture into separate bowls of glasses.

Add the sour pink powder and pink food coloring to one bowl and mix well and then add the sour blue powder and neon blue food coloring to the other bowl.

Pour the pink mixture a 1/4 of the way up a glass and then pour a little of the blue mixture into the glass. Then add a little more pink.  Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with a little more pink and blue sour powder.
