Oh, how I love burgers! But there is something else in the food world that I love just as much as burgers or maybe even a tad more…..BACON! Now don’t get me wrong, I love just a regular bacon cheeseburger but I wanted to do something a little different. I wanted to make these stand out a little more than a traditional bacon burger.
My mouth is watering just typing about these delicious little devils! The meat is so tender and juicy and the spicy jalapeños and crispy bacon just make it perfection! Add in the cheese and it sends these burgers right over the top!
Not only are these super yummy but they are easy! Not a lot of work and you can easily make this as a week night dinner option! If you are watching your calories you can definitely substitute turkey in place of the ground beef!
Easy, yummy, perfection! That is this burger summed up in three words!!!!
1 1/2 to 2 LBS ground beef
2 jalapeños seeded and chopped
4-5 strips of bacon cooked and chopped
1 cup monterey jack cheese
2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
salt and pepper
Mix jalapeños and bacon together and set aside.
Mix ground beef, worcestershire sauce and salt and pepper.
take 1/4 cup meat and flatten to make about 3 inch thin disc. this should make about 6 discs.
Place tbsp of bacon/jalapeño mixture in center of meat and top with jack cheese then place another flat disc of meat a top of the mixture. Pinch all sides closed.
Grill burgers for about 10-15 minutes per side, depending on how you prefer your meat cooked. Top with more cheese 1 minute before removing from the grill.
Place on a bun and top with lettuce and tomato if desired.
